so yesterday, history was made. i gotta say that watching obama's acceptance speech really choked me up. never, ever thought i'd see this happen in my lifetime. i'm excited for the new administration to take over even though i know it will take years to unravel the mess that's been made of this country. i at least have some hope now that things will start moving in a positive direction. i have hope again. thank you president obama. don't fail us baby. we're all counting on you.
and as for that little stunt you pulled after your speech? you know, the one where you stepped away from the bullet-proofed screen, stood unsheltered and looked through the crowd? i realize that was your way of showing your courage and strength, but dude. seriously. don't risk it. for us. okay? seriously, we need you. even if some people are still too bigoted, politically emotional or intellectuallly handicapped to realize it. we need you mr. president.

I'm a cynic, but I've got tears in my eyes and hope in my heart for the first time in 8 years.

even after my conspiracy theory video spree, I am soooo happy!!!! there's always the possibly of the wolf in sheep's clothing things happening in this case, but just with his getting elected it goes to show how far we've come. wow!!
last night, fireworks went off all in Monona (inner city within Madison) and on the Capital Square, people ran out of their house and were singing and dancing all in the streets. in was amazing seeing people everywhere that happy.

That's what a presidential election should look like.

Of course, now it's shoulder to the wheel time. We've got a hell of a lot of shit to clean up for the last 8 years of hell.

Oh, they'll be biting each other in the ass for a while now, trying to figure out how they let a black man get elected.
