So this summer, among visiting Leila in MD and my sis in the Grand Canyon, I really want to take a trip to both Key West and New Orleans. I don't know exactly when yet because I'm talking to different people about it, to see who's down. I want to start planning now, instead of the usual hectic mess I make of my trips. So if any of you are interested in either or both let me know 'cause I'm gonna start working on a good time for everyone who's interested. Both are awesome places, and I've yet to be to Key West with friends, instead of family!

I am always. ALWAYS. down for a trip to New Orleans. I dunno how much fun it will be while you're under 21, but I don't remember bars exactly carding a lot.
I'll be out of town a lot of July. Other than that, I'm open.

oh yeah New Orleans bars are a piece of cake to get into without ID, plus I can always use my sisters, it never fails. I just don't like doing it here much, other than some gas stations and liquor stores.

That makes sense, yeah. Like I said, I'm up for it for sure. I was trying to get Jacob to take us over there in his SUV just this weekend.

Yeah I haven't been in awhile. Me and some friends almost drove down there on a whim, for Mardi Gras this year, but it ended up falling apart. It's such a great place though!

I've never been for Mardi Gras. I kind of like it in the off season. Okay, so the truth is I always like it. I'm in love, not just with the permissive drinking attitude, but with the architecture of the city itself.

i was going to point out that hank was JUST talking about new orleans this week and semi-planning a trip in my SUV. but then he beat me to it. my truck very comfortably holds 6. could probably hold 7 if 3 of them are skinny. not much room for luggage, though, if we put that many people in there.

I've never been for Mardi gras either. I just showed up at my friend DP's house one night and was asked "Hey ya wanna go to new Orleans tomorrow, for Mardi Gras?"
Oh and the architecture is amazing for sure.

Because there's no way I'm taking Jon to New Orleans.

Deb, that was the most charming thing you've ever said.
This summer will be awesome.
