i found this when i was looking at "This Is England" today. www.pymca-library.com/index2.pgiIf you go to the second "Categories" section, there is a category for skinheads. click on it and it gives you like 200+ photos (mostly B&W) of skins back in the 80s. there are a lot of "saluting" but there are also a fair number of ska show skins and stuff. kinda cool.

A lot of those are by Gavin Watson. He was just another skinhead kid with a camera back then, but he took most of what we think of today as the iconic skin pictures.
Where'd you find that link?

if you go to the movie page for this is england (http://www.thisisenglandmovie.co.uk) there is a section called "Skinhead 80s" that has a history of skins. To the right of that, there is a polaroid looking photo that says "Click Here For Original Skinhead Photography". I did and, to the right handside of the photos, they provide the source of the images and the link (they were all from the PYMCA gallery and linked to http://www.pymca.com).

Gotchya. Cool stuff. There are a couple of excellent galleries around, but like I said, it tends to be a lot of the same pics from Watson. If you scroll down to the bottom at www.oxbloodoi.com/ you can find a couple good galleries, too.

Get a cheap camera and some black and white film. Seriously, everything looks artsier in b&w. When I'm bored, I like to search for skinhead pics on flickr.com - a lot of just random assholes, but there are some cool band and crew shots, too. For example, this right here is a pic I just turned up on flickr of Gavin Watson himself (the one with the hat).
