know any skins in New Orleans?

I've been talking about a skinhead weekend out in New Orleans for years. Someone said they might know some of the locals. Anyone?

I know some people through myspace.. not personally, that are skins from there but I don't know if they are still living there or what, I can get back to you on it. but yeah it would definitely be cool to have a skinhead weekend there especially since I've never been before.

If you don't mind, would you get up with those folks and ask about the scene? What are the good bars, do they ever get shows, that kind of shit.

I sent the guy a message so I will let you know when he gets back to me. you could also talk to maddie, she has been living there for a while and should know of a few good spots.

Me and Deb were just recently talking about maybe planning a trip there. Never been before either. Would be nice to get as many of us to go as we can. Would be a great weekend.

he said this "honestly there isn't much of a scene here. All the skinheads got old and decided to have families and move away to those and stuff. It's pretty much run by Crusties, Goths, and Punk kids. But there is a lot to do for one visit. What do you want to know about. I could probably tell you." I wrote him back and he still hasn't gotten back to me yet..

That''s sort of what I thought. The best would be to get the Scars a show over there and then just get a bunch of folks to go. Maybe arrange a ska night, too.
